Southgate already has a big money offer lined up in Saudi, he is under instruction to pick and defend Henderson.

How many reasons does Southgate want for booing Henderson
1. He's a money grubbing hypocrite
2. He's an uninspiring player and always has been
3. He's past it and is playing in a substandard league
4. You should be playing young up and coming players to see how they fit in to your negative formation
The booing in fact was probably as much for Southgate as much as Henderson..

I was talking to some fans down for the game from the Midlands yesterday and they thought his time was up
These fans follow England everywhere and yesterday probably meant a day off work to travel then getting soaking wet getting in to the ground having paid £50 for a match ticket to watch a team of fringe players captained by a dour washed up greedy hypocrite is a bit of an insult to them in my opinion.

The players didnt look particularly up for it, although Bowen looked like he did want to play. Its a good example of why friendlies are pointless. Southgate has run his course. Trouble is the best managers wouldn't be interested.

The players must see how inept he is too, many of them are at teams who have infinitely better managers. They can see the quality that he is squandering. Combine that with him always picking favourites and then saying deliberately provocative things like “why boo him”, and you wonder how long it will be until there’s a falling out with the players. I wanted to see him gone after the stuffing by Hungary, and then the defeat by Italy in the Euros final - which I’m still convinced we would have won had he not taken Rice off for Henderson.
I’ll be watching on Tuesday, but big qualifiers like this normally have me a bit more excited.

Russ - Yep. all very true. I wasn't against him getting another stab at a major tournament as I don't think he could have done much more against France, but now I wish he had gone, it would be nice if we had someone else taking us out to Germany in the summer. I predicted we would lose to France and had we got past them no chance we would have beaten Argentina and Messi in the final. It will be the same old story next year no doubt.

Course he understands it, Through his whole England reign he has always had side issues that he feels the need to either create or get involved in. Taking the knee, politics, diversity, the ladies game, Ukraine, players personal issues....It's just a joke. I'm surprised he wasn't wearing a a skull cap sporting side ringlets last night. And all this under the guise of England manager. No wonder we haven't won anything.... Southgate's head is constantly turned by off the field issues. It just goes to show how low expectations are set by the FA. They reckon he's done a decent job. With the players he's had at his disposal he should've won something by now. But because he is just "Gareth Southgate" he cannot overcome. So when we do play better or comparable teams we lose. Because he is "Gareth Southgate". He's not a winner and he cannot influence and inspire great players to overcome. Blokes a turgid ponce who has stolen success for England.

Disgrace. Its very clear where Southgate is heading once he's finished meddling with England.
He was the one that foisted all the diversity and inclusion stuff on the England players and Henderson became an advocate and campaigner for Rainbow Laces. He was rightly condemned for going to play football in a country that imprisons gays, yet Southgate didn't condemn him, Now he not only picks him but he makes him captain.
Absolute pair of carve up cunts.
Once we get knocked out of Euros on in semis by a team thats as good or better than us then Southgate will be on the first plane to Saudi.
And I hope him and Henderson fucking choke on their dosh the pair of cunts.

Out of curiosity I watched some Saudi highlights on YouTube. Fuck me, I didn’t realise how empty the grounds were. Hilarious watching Dembele wheel away after scoring a great goal and then looking like he realises there’s nobody watching.

The Saudi League will fold within two / three years… no doubt they will continue to chuck money at it but who is going to watch a glorified friendly on tv with no crowd and no atmosphere.
No doubt UEFA / FIFA will ram it down our throats by giving them a couple of CL places but you have to hope that the mix of has beens and Saudi non league players will disappear into obscurity pretty quickly.
